Major General Moazzem is the new executive chairman of BEPZA

Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain has joined the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) as the 18th Executive Chairman.He joined the Office of the Chief Advisor as the Executive Chairman of BEPZA and succeeded Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman.
Before joining BEPZA, Moazzem Hossain served as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 7th Infantry Division and as the Area Commander in Barisal.
He was commissioned into the Artillery Corps of the Bangladesh Army on December 20, 1992. During his long and distinguished career, he has served in various command, staff and instructional positions and has demonstrated exceptional leadership and professionalism.
Moazzem Hossain commanded two artillery brigades and two artillery regiments. He has served as a platoon commander at the Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA), a Colonel Staff of a division at the Army Headquarters and Director (Budget).
He is a graduate from the Defense Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) in Mirpur, the capital, and has completed the National Defense Course (NDC) and Armed Forces War Course (AFWC) from the National Defense College (NDC).
He has also participated in advanced military training and exercises abroad. These include the Nanjing Artillery Academy in China and the School of Artillery in Pakistan.
He has completed his MPhil from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and is pursuing his PhD from Dhaka University (DU).
